Trending Top Knot Hair Styles and Beauty Tips

It’s no longer about the sock bun hair styles, ladies. Top knots are taking over the top hair styles and I decided that I had to indulge and give you all some beauty tips. Okay, so I do still totally adore the sock bun, but if you have layered hair, it simply doesn’t work and ever since I got my hair cut, a sock bun will not stay committed to my hair styles.

It was a depressing realization.

However, top knots are the next “it” factor when it comes to trendy hair styles and to be completely honest, this tutorial is so much more achievable and easy. The only thing that I don’t like about it is the lack of  VA VA VOOM. I tried teasing the base of the ponytail, but it really didn’t do much, other than make my top knot frizzy.

It was a depressing realization.

All you have to do to achieve the top knot hair styles is to pull your hair up into a ponytail, just like you would with a sock bun. Then, separate it into two pieces and take each, and twist it around the elastic. Use two bobby pins and crisscross them to ensure the pieces securely stay.  And there you have it.

The best thing about this hair style is that you can most certainly incorporate your own personality into your hair, with little twists, tweaks, braids and bulges.

Yes… I did just say bulge.

Kim Kardashian has recently come out with a crazy, funky top knot hair styles that makes her look like a modern 80’s beehive and I’m just going to come right out and say it – FUGLY! I hate it. Ew. Her head looks like a penis. Honestly. And I have a girl crush on all the Kardashians. I don’t care what you have to say, these ladies have style, swag and sexiness all wrapped up in a special little surprise.

You like how I used all “S” words? I know you did!

Aside from trying the whole top knot trend out, this week I have been extremely busy… shopping. Yes, I did release a new shopping haul video today, but I have been doing work, work, work because I usually work morning to night, seven days a week. However, I have so much going on this week that I don’t have the ability to work throughout the seven days, so I am trying to cram it into 3 days of 10 hours time slots.

It’s a little depressing. Just sayin’

My brain honestly hurts. As do my eyes, but my brain. Oh buddy. It’s screaming, “Stop using me!”
