As you may have figured out by now, I have been pretty dead this week. After coming home from a fabulous evening in London with some silly friends, I felt a tickle in my throat that has ended up being a viral infection and oh boy, did this sucker ever hit me fast. It’s absolutely horrible. That’s all I can say. I guess it’s Karma for me laughing at everyone else that has hacked a lung or thrown up their cookies around me this season. I mean, I was seriously over-confident that my flu shot, and immune system would pretty much make me invisible to anything sickly. I was proven wrong.
Naturally, I felt the need to pamper myself a little when I could actually stay awake for more than an hour. Monday I just had a sore throat which was good because I could still do things, but it absolutely sucked because I had no idea what was coming. Thus, I spent the day doing my nails and watching The Bachelor. Naturally, right? Although I was no where feeling as awful as I do now, I still felt pretty bad so I went with the Sally Hansen Nail Salon Effects. You know, those strip things you just put on your nails?
I have to go out on a little bit of a lovely boast for these nail strips because I love them. I have used the Zebra print nail effects before which you can actually see in this music video that I did, but I had my roommate at the time put them on for me. So Monday was the first time that I used Sally Hansen Nail Salon Effects all by myself and it was just as easy as I thought it would be. They are quick and easy to apply and as long as you apply them correctly, they will stay on your nails, chip-free for at LEAST 10 days. Yes, ladies, I said at least!
Now some people felt like $10 was a bit expensive to spend on a one time use for these nail effect strips but my opinion is little different.. as it usually is. That’s why you guys love me, right? Think about it like this. If you were to go to a nail salon and get a design manicure, you’d be spending a hell of a lot more than 10 buckeroos!
I was seriously sick and still managed to put these fabulous cheetah print Sally Hansen Nail Salon Effects on perfectly. Am I happy? Absolutely!
Now for The Bachelor. Ummm… Courtney and her fake wedding? What the truck was that all about?? Super creepy if you ask me!
The past few days I have been feeling progressively worse, so I am very happy I did my nails with the nail effects when I did. The last thing you feel when you’re sick is sexy, but at least now while I’m hacking a lung, sniffling, whining, crying and moaning and groaning as I toss and turn in pain, I can look at my hands and appreciate how damn purdy they are!
Actually, the last thing I have cared about is whether or not something is pretty but at least you guys know that I’m still “keeping it real” over here as I die.
