Just an everyday look using affordable beauty products that anyone can do. It’s easy, affordable and truthfully, not much talent is needed. So if you’re ready to sprinkle, smudge and dust your way to this gold and glamorous makeup tutorial, keep on scrolling.
Here are the beauty products I used in this lookbook.
I start on my lids by dusting on a gold shadow (2nd shadow on the top). I then use a darker tone (1st shadow on the top) in the outer corner of my eyes. When I’m trying new makeup products, I always purchase them in travel size to make sure I like them before dishing out big bucks for the full thing.
On the top and bottom lash line, I smudge on some burgundy eyeliner. For the top, I start almost at the very beginning of my inner corner and smudged right to the outer corner.
For the bottom, I smudged from the outer corner to the middle. No further.
Then I draw on a very thin line of black eyeliner on the top, smudging it up and into the outer corners of my eye. I like to use this eyeliner because it’s affordable. You can find it in any drugstore and it’s black as black.
I have notoriously awful eyebrows. So I’ve kind of given up on maintaining the beasts. In other words, I buy cheap beauty products for them because even with the most expensive eyebrow kit, they’d still look mucked.
I just use the gel in the eyebrow kit and fill in the spaces with the shadow. Depending on how atrocious my brows are, I sometimes even use a pencil to try to perfect them even further. A girl can dream!
I’m a big fan of this drugstore foundation. It blends flawlessly into the skin, and really is a true match. I wouldn’t trade it in for any other drugstore brand at this time.
I’ve used cream, stick and powder contour and always resort back to the powder. I find these beauty products blend better while keeping the pigment strong.
After I put on my foundation, I line the bottom of my cheekbones. I then put it on the sides of my head and over my eyebrows, lining the top directly under my hairline. I place the contour powder along the sides of my nose and blend like a maniac.
Using a deep pigmented dark pink blush, I dust it on the apples of my cheeks and along my cheek bone.
My true match foundation wouldn’t be complete without this beauty product. I sprinkle this on the top outer corners of my cheeks, just above the blush. Then, I use it to line underneath the arch of my brows.
To make my lips appear fuller, I draw an X at the top center of my lips before slowly lining the rest. It adds a pop that is undeniably pout-worthy.
Inarguably my favourite lip beauty products are the Revlon ColorBurst stains. It’s a moisturizing lippie that had a stunning shine and great pigment.
If you’re new to my beauty blog, you’ll quickly see that I swear by this mascara, as well as the original Voluminous. I can’t even tell you how much I love this stuff. It’s a must have that can be found at any drugstore.
I then completed my look with a choker from Seaside Boutique and some loose curls and called it a day!
