This year I made it a goal to only purchase gifts and give gift ideas from local Canadian businesses. After a recent trip to an Etsy event (where I totally blew a hole in my pants which you can read about here), I quickly noticed that there’s really no need to shop at big brand stores and pay the millionaires’ salaries.
Instead, I’d rather purchase from small Canadian businesses, support a dream and get something that is completely unique! So, here’s my 100% Canadian Christmas Wish List that I’ll be sending to my friends and family who are looking for some ideas. (Hi Mom!)
Fancy It Pretty Pillow
A Canadian store that is on my level is definitely Fancy It Pretty. In love. Obsessed. Need I say more? Living without this pillow is asking too much of my life, so it’s a must have gift ideas for sure.
The Canadian gift shop, Charmed Flowers and Gifts is actually located in Uptown Waterloo. I went there to purchase some gifts once, and fell in love. So, it’s definitely making an appearance on my gift idea wish list.
Boho Dream Catcher
The dreamcatchers that Den Dreamcatchers make are totally on point. I adore them, especially the bohemian inspired ones, so of course, this Canadian boho dreamcatcher has made it on my Christmas wish list.
Lovely Little Acorn Jewelry
As soon as I saw jewelry from the Lovely Little Acorn, my fashion heart strings were pulled. The boho chic inspired styles are really up my alley. Here are some of the jewelry I’ll be adding on my gift idea wish list.
(I like the light emerald and light pink ones!)
The Healing Tree Salt Lamps
I actually already have a Himalayan salt lamp from The Healing Tree, but I want more! They’re excellent for your health, and even better for fighting off the Winter Blues. So, I am stocking up! You can find this store at the St. Jacobs Market, which is an entire treat in itself.
The Healing Tree also has plenty of essential oils and natural balms and stuff, that I highly recommend adding to your Christmas Wish List.
As you have probably noticed, there’s kind of a reoccurring bohemian-gypsy kind of theme going on with my Christmas gift ideas this year. This floor pouf connects with me on that level, as well as my love for everything faux fur. However, I have a feeling my dogs will be making this their own before the season is over, but these poufs are great for meditating, relaxing and decor.
I’ll be doing many more Canadian gift ideas and wish lists for you, so hit that subscribe button and stay tuned.
Which one of these gift ideas is your favourite?
